Asparagus Sprengerii
Gazanias, or Treasure Flowers, are sun-loving, daisy-like plants native to southern Africa, known for their brilliant yellow, orange, and multicolored flowers that open in full sun and close at night. They are drought-tolerant, thrive in well-drained, sandy soil, and are popular as ground cover, in rock gardens, or containers. While perennial in warmer climates, they are often grown as annuals in cooler regions, blooming from late spring through fall in ideal conditions.
Growing Conditions
Sunlight: They need full sun to thrive and bloom.
Soil: Well-drained, sandy, or gravelly soil is preferred, as they are tolerant of poor soils and drought.
Watering: They require moderate watering but are drought-tolerant, and overwatering can lead to rot.
Climate: They prefer warm, hot, and dry conditions and are best suited for full sun locations in warmer climates.
